LION-XJ PC Cluster
LION-XJ is a PC Cluster run by the High Performance Computing Group of Penn State's Research Computing and Cyberinfrastructure group (RCC) in partnership with several faculty research groups yet to be finalized.
This system is not yet available to users not belonging to one of the funding groups.
Hardware
LION-XJ consists of the following hardware:
1 Login Node
128 Compute Nodes
- Dell PowerEdge 1950 1U Rackmount Server
- Dual 3.0 GHz Intel Xeon E5450 (Harpertown) Quad-Core Processors
- 32 GB of ECC RAM
144 Compute Nodes
- Dell PowerEdge 1950 1U Rackmount Server
- Dual 3.0 GHz Intel Xeon E5450 (Harpertown) Quad-Core Processors
- 32 GB of ECC RAM
- IBM x3450 1U Rackmount Server
- Dual 3.0 GHz Intel Xeon E5472 (Woodcrest) Quad-Core Processors
- 64 GB of ECC RAM
Obtaining an Account
Lion-XJ is currently only available to those groups that funded it. If you are part of one of those groups, send an email to Jason Holmes at jholmes@psu.edu requesting your LION-XJ account. Please be sure to include your Penn State Access Account userid and any special requests you may have.
